The EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) is the largest global research initiative aimed at tackling the challenge of neurodegenerative diseases. JPND supports transnational research projects and working groups that enable researchers to collaborate across borders to tackle the global challenge of neurodegenerative diseases. It has funded the CSM and its partners a total of 1.5 M for 36 months to undergo a Systems Analysis of novel small non-coding RNA in neuronal stress responses: towards novel biomarkers and therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders or RNA-NEURO. It is a collaborative grant that includes PI’s from Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, Canada and Germany. It will focus on ALS, FTD and Parkinsons Disease.
